S.M.: What exactly do you do here?
C.E.: I work for student government, help plan student activities and programs that are coming up, such as the Spring Fling. I also helped with Earth Day. I am officially a student government employee but I still help out the Student Activities Center. I also help with Public Relation stuff and help design flyers.
S.M.: What attracted you to this job?
C.E.: I interned here and jobs opened up so I hopped right on it. I interned as senator and president for a year, then I worked part time for a year while I was finishing up my AA in Liberal Arts and now I am currently working full time. I am still taking classes at CSM.
S.M.: What is your favorite part of your job?
C.E.: Seeing the event actually happening is definitely my favorite part of the job. If you spend all this time planning the event, seeing everyone enjoy it is really rewarding.
S.M.: What is the craziest, most stressful part of being a program assistant?
C.E.: This is the busiest time of the season. We have high school tours on Saturdays all of April, so I'm basically working 6 days a week. Right now I'm also working on Spring Fling and next I will be working on elections.
S.M.: What do you plan to do in the future?
C.E.: I hope to own my own business and run a non-profit business. I have learned from the ground up how to run a business from working here.
S.M.: Where were you born?
C.E.: I was basically born and raised in San Bruno. I went to Cappuccino High School and then came here.
S.M.: Where is your favorite vacation spot?
C.E.: By far, I like Hawaii the best. Everyone that went last spring break got an ear piercing. I have a friend out there who we could stay with, so we really cut corners everywhere we could and stayed on a tight student budget.
S.M.: What is the wildest thing you have ever done in your life?
C.E.: The craziest thing I have done is when I went to Canada. I was helping my friends relocate because of tax reasons.
S.M.: What is the secret to having a successful relationship?
C.E.: I would say probably communication, trust, and honestly. If you have all three of those things you shouldn't have to worry about anything.
S.M.: What would you do with a million dollars?
C.E.: I would try to start my business and non-profit. Also I would help my parents pay for some stuff if I hit it big. I think everyone wants to pay back their parents for supporting them through all these years growing up.
S.M.: Do you have any pets?
C.E.: Yes, I have a pit bull named Bailey.
S.M.: What quote do you live by?
C.E.: You can't expect anything to change by doing everything the same
