Our campus is slowly taking steps up the evolutionary ladder to reach its full potential for educational development and architectural advancement.

By implementing the construction plans, we will no longer have to deal with classes and offices inhabiting decrepit catacomb-like buildings. The plans just prove how committed the district is to the students and faculty.

The latest stage of CSM's life cycle began in 2004 when the construction of Bldg. 36 began, ushering in a way for more capital improvement projects which not only focused on modernizing current buildings by adding new equipment to classrooms, new doors, floor coverings and many more upgrades, but it also called for a complete overhaul and redesign of current buildings.

Another gem that has come out of the construction process is the complete make over the athletic fields were given. New synthetic turf was installed to all fields, including the football and baseball fields and the track was revamped making the stadium an impressive venue for any visitor to marvel at.

But we have yet to see the full potential of our campus, in June the demolishment of Bldg. 5 will clear the way for the construction of a brand new three story building that replaces the aging and soon to be extinct Bldg. 5.

When it is finally complete it will be home to programs that have been shoved aside to the outskirts of campus, as well as classrooms and offices. All equipped with updated technology and a new more modern look to keep up with the changing face of the community.

Hopefully all of these changes will continue to attract new students to campus, so CSM can continue to flourish and provide students with a great affordable education in one of the most beautiful, unique settings around.
