The men's swim team placed third overall in the annual Coast Conference finals last month at Chabot College, matching their highest team finish ever.
The finals were held over three days at in Hayward, on April 24, 25 and 26.
"Third place is our best finish for the men's team," said Coach Randy Wright. "It's great to see the team accomplishing both individual and team goals."
For the women, Marisha Driscoll placed fourth in the 100-meter butterfly and fifth in the 200 Individual Medley butterfly.
"I think we did really well, for only having about six girls on the team," said swimmer Niki day.
"I got some of my best times ever." Day raced in the 100-meter backstroke and the 1,650-meter freestyle.
In the men's competition, Steven Camargo won the 200-meter backstroke, Nick Riley placed second in the 1650 freestyle, mike Shanahan placed third in the 200 meter backstroke, and Daniel Nordson placed third in the 800 meter free medley.
"I was kind of sad because it's our last year," said Day, speaking of the swimmers who will graduate after this semester.
Assessing his team's overall performance, Wright said.
"We hope to build and improve in the future, and with construction of the new aquatics facility this is an exciting time."
