Despite losing their last home game of the season, CSM's polo squad upset Cabrillo College 9-8 in the first round of the Coast Conference Finals Friday Nov. 2 in Hayward. With the big win, the Bulldogs advance to the Coast Conference Final four, squaring off against number one ranked Foothill College Saturday, Nov. 3.

"We lost this first round game the past three years, it feels great to come away with the win today and move on in the tournament," said CSM Women's Head Coach Randy Wright.

In a much needed win, CSM was exceptionally accurate, shooting 9-15. "If we controlled the ball, we could control tempo, eliminating any transition and forcing the attack from primarily half court. We did have a few too many turnovers, but the difference was our shooting, we were on target today."

The Bulldogs are back in action this Saturday at 10:15 a.m. at Chabot College.
